Budco was contracted by the MTA to replace the structural steel subway tunnel that was destroyed during the 9/11/01 terrorist attack. We installed two million pounds of new steel in a three month period starting in April 2002 for the reopening that took place for the one year anniversary. This job was recognized as one of the Top Projects in the New York Tri-State Area to commemorate our accomplishment.
